Thrift Your Way to a Better Deal

If you frequently shop second hand, you may already know this, but it’s a great reminder for folks who don’t.  I’ve done several stories before on the “Best Times to Buy” and apparently the time is NOW for thrift stores.

Why?  Spring is when people typically clear out their closets (maybe a little spring cleaning), so experts say there tends to be a spike in donations.  So if you’re looking for furniture, household goods or clothes, now’s the time to check out your local thrift or second hand store, you may find a good deal.

**P.S.  My gut tells me this also happens around January after people clear out their closets to get the tax credit 🙂
