Borrow Don’t Buy

Thank goodness for great neighbors!  I’m fortunate to live around some awesome folks.  Not only does everyone sort of watch out for one another, but we all feel comfortable asking to borrow something every now and then.

This isn’t quite the same, but just this week, my next door neighbor saved my chicken salad because I realized at the last minute that I was out of relish!  As a couponer and believer in stockpiling, that should never happen, but anyway, I digress. 🙂

While we may just consider it a nice gesture, these acts of kindness actually save us time and money.  That’s the concept behind the website Share Some Sugar. The site allows you to search for items by zip code (which turned up nothing for me).  More importantly, it allows you to create online groups with Facebook friends, neighbors, parents, etc.  This way, you and your buddies can easily connect with one another when you need something.
